Our section’s mission is to provide essential value to our members, their careers, our partners, and the public through:

  • Facilitating the advancement of technology
  • Encouraging and providing the tools for lifelong learning
  • Promoting professionalism and the profession
  • Developing and supporting civil engineering leaders
  • Advocating infrastructure and environmental stewardship

But we can’t do this without your help!  There are numerous opportunities to volunteer for or attend a section activity or even serve on the Board.  We are looking to fill the vacant positions of Vice President, Newsletter Coordinator and Website Coordinator.  Please contact Matt Henderson at mhenderson@anchorqea.com if you would like to volunteer or for more information.  For even more ways that you can make the most of your ASCE membership please explore our section webpage.

ASCE Syracuse Mission / Goals

To provide essential value to our members, their careers, our partners, and the public. The Syracuse Section of ASCE's mission will be actualized through focus on these Goals:

  • Encourage and provide the tools for lifelong learning to aid our members' continued growth throughout their careers.

  • Develop and support civil engineer leaders to broaden our members' perspectives, enhance their career growth, and promote the public interest.
  • Advocate infrastructure and environmental stewardship to protect the public health and safety and improve the quality of life.
